Self
Discovery
A
Therapeutic Meditation Workshop with Sw. Veet Kamaal
1)
A 5-day in-depth experiential workshop dealing with basic concepts of
spirituality and psychology.
Includes meditation exercises, theoretical explanations, personal experiences,
partner- and groupwork; guiding participants towards a deeper understanding
of oneself, one's priorities, values, difficulties and relationships
with others.
2)
At present, many question the purpose of life-with all its pressures
that create so much emotional imbalance and unhappiness? In this overstressed
and material world, one needs to pay attention to the inner longings
of the soul, meditate and prioritise. One needs to be aware of life's
objective and evolve to a higher spiritual consciousness to find peace
and inner joy, leading a fulfilling and balanced life.
3)
Meditation is the exploring and discovering of your Self When every
corner of our Being is dealt with, when the whole of our personality
surfaces and exposes itself, the journey of self-discovery becomes an
adventure.
The fears, the paranoia, the prejudices, the biases, the jealousies,
the loves, the hates - everything is there. We are dealing with the
entire gamut of Nature's forces. And that requires a certain honesty
within oneself, an authenticity and a trust. And to stand naked first,
before one can stand transformed.
The transformation basically is a process of evolution which comes from
an inner understanding, an inner growth. And then when you see something
that needs to go, you let go of it. If changes need to be made you can
make the changes. Then you have the capacity to enhance certain qualities,
to eliminate certain qualities, to transform certain qualities - alter
them. Initially you may require effort, but when you have the capacity
within you, the power, the will, the force, and also the consciousness,
it is easy.
You
grow in your experiences, you grow in your understanding and you grow
in life.
And the methods are: meditation - your activity - your sadhana - that
means the whole of your life!
The
Invitation
It
doesn't interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for.
And if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It
doesn't interest me how old you are.
I want to knowif you will risk looking like a fool for love,
for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive.
I
want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own,
Without moving to hide it or fake it or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own:
If you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you.
I
want to know if you can be alone with yourself,
And if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
